Gold rallied today after showing signs of a healthy profit-taking sell-off losing more than $100/ounce and gaining $20.10 today to finish at $13.57.  Silver, too, participated in the precious metals rally, rising to $26.515, a gain of $1.004 per ounce.

F22 Crash

OINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- An aerial search was scheduled to continue throughout the night for the pilot of an Air Force F-22 fighter jet that crashed in a remote area of interior Alaska during a training exercise.

Rescue aircraft spotted the wreckage Wednesday about 100 miles north of Anchorage, and pararescuemen from the Alaska Air National Guard scoured the crash site until being flown out for the night.

Missile Launch California

An unexplained video has surface showing what seems to be a missile being launched from California.

"A video that appears to show a missile launch off the coast of California is so far "unexplained" by anyone in the military, a Pentagon spokesman told reporters Tuesday -- but what seems mysterious could be nothing more than an airplane.

Federal officials do not consider the event a threat. And they aren't the only ones.

According to a post on ContrailScience.com, the visible exhaust from a jet engine, a trail of condensed water vapor called a contrail, resembles a missile trail when seen from some angles."

I'm sure its not a missile.
